Texas Sheet Cake - Mom's

Prep:

Cook: 20 min.

Serves: 10-15

2 cups flower

2 cups sugar

½ teaspoon salt

Boil together:

1 stick butter

1 cup water

¼ cup cocoa

½ cup Crisco

Blend together then add:

½ cup butter milk

2 eggs

1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp vanilla

Icing – boil:

1 stick butter

¼ cup cocoa

1/3 cup buttermilk

Pour over:

1 box powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

¼ tsp salt

Bake 20 minutes at 400 F.
